Working from a harbour side studio, Antonia produces panels, windows and mirrors made with mouthblown stained glass. Using either traditional lead work or modern 'sandwiching' techniques, much of the work is abstract, suggesting freedom from complication.
With a strong emphasis on blues and greens and subtle changes of hue, some pieces evoke serenity and spontaneous rhythm. Others are a play between formal arrangements of colour and organic themes etched into the surface. She keeps to a simple style, allowing the richness of colour and glass texture to engage the eye and enhance the interior space.
Apart from selling in local galleries, she undertakes commissions for panels to be hung independently or glazed into an exisiting window space.
